La ministra de Tursimo Kechichián anunción la Construcción del nuevo Hilton Garden Inn en Montevideo

El martes 25 en el Auditorium del World Trade Center, la Ministra de Turismo y Deporte, Liliam Kechichián, participó en la presentación del proyecto del hotel Hilton que se construirá en el predio de Montevideo Shopping, oportunidad en la que la cadena Hilton Worldwide firmó un acuerdo con el empresario Carlos Alberto Lecueder, desarrollador del emprendimiento.



El acto también contó con la presencia de la Intendenta de Montevideo, Ana Olivera, y Tom Middleton, por Hilton Worldwide.



Se trata de la construcción del Hilton Garden Inn con una inversión de U$S 25 millones, y que se ubicará en el el barrio Buceo con una conexión directa con Montevideo Shopping y el World Trade Center. El proyecto arquitectónico fue realizado por el estudio Gómez Platero, y se estima que el hotel estará inaugurado para fines de 2014.

Será un hotel cinco estrellas, con 15 pisos y 172 habitaciones, entre las que se incluye una suite presidencial. También habrá otras suites y habitaciones accesibles para personas con discapacidad.
Los servicios incluirán restaurante, cafetería, piscina abierta en el piso 15 y spa. Además contará con un business center, con un centro de convenciones para 220 personas y seis salas de trabajo ejecutivo. El establecimiento dará ocupación directa a 220 personas.

Hilton es una compañía fundada en 1919, que cuenta con 3.750 hoteles y más de 615.000 habitaciones en 85 países. En América Latina hay 45 hoteles y resorts de la marca. Garden Inn es una de las seis marcas con las que Hilton opera en el continente.



Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Montevideo, Uruguay – the country’s capital and financial center. The new-build 168-room Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo, expected to open in late 2014, represents the brand’s eighth development project in Latin America and Hilton Worldwide’s first managed hotel in Uruguay.

Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo will form part of Montevideo Shopping Center - Uruguay’s first mall, which was developed and is managed by Estudio Luis E. Lecueder. Hilton Worldwide will operate the hotel under the terms of a multi-year management agreement as part of its growth efforts in Latin America.

The hotel will be located inside the Montevideo Shopping Mall and directly across from the World Trade Center – both of which were developed by Estudio Lecueder. Hilton Garden Inn Montevideo will feature 168 guest rooms, all with the Garden Sleep System® allowing guests to adjust the firmness and softness of the bed, ergonomic Mirra® chair by Herman Miller, LCD high-definition, flat-screen television, easy-to-set alarm clock with MP3 connectivity, a spacious work desk, and a “hospitality center” that features a mini refrigerator and coffee maker.

Dining options will include a full service restaurant offering freshly prepared full, cooked-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also feature the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry® shop with a selection of delicious readymade meals, beverages and snacks.
